Ada apa dengan roti?
Jobless for 7 months since graduation day, yeay~ (No??) As much as i'm happy spending time at home with family, the "dok menghabiskan beras je" kind of feeling keep haunting myself. Luckily i did few sales before bfg (plus some saving) enough to support the craving for shopping (haha) but yeah money isn't everything... How you spend your time is more important.
*I blame myself for all the wasted time..* Astaghfirullahal 'azim..
*I blame myself for all the wasted time..* Astaghfirullahal 'azim..
So... an attempt to occupy the free time with short course at kolej komuniti. Seriously short that it takes only a day or two to complete each course. Alhamdulillah, for the first time, i chose "kursus asas roti" by En. Rosdi.
As requested by a friend, recipe for basic dough bun :
- A
- 1 kg high protein flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 5 tbsp milk powder
- 185 g caster sugar
- B
- 3 eggs
- 33 g instant yeast
- 365 ml water
- 125 g butter
Method
- Combine A together in a mixer for a few minutes (use dough hook only. Don't have appropriate mixer? Dun worry. Never underestimate the power of your hands. Its good, if you are thinking of activities for weight loss haha).
- Add eggs one by one, followed by yeast (use lowest speed. High speed will heats up mixing bowl and this is not good for the dough).
- Add water slowly until well mixed (about 5 mins).
- Add butter and beat dough till dough has smooth surface. Check whether dough is fully developed by stretching a small lump into a thin layer without tearing. If it does not stretch well, beat dough further. Unfortunately, there is no fixed time how long it takes to get the right texture. I wish you best of luck =)
- Remove dough from mixer, continue beating with your hand for few minutes (lagi lama menguli lagi mantop roti insyaallah) then leave it in a big bowl or tray. Covered with damp cloth or simply use plastic cling roll. Let the dough proof in a warm place for 45 minutes or until double in size.
- Remove the dough from the bowl and give a few light kneading to press out the gas in the dough. Divide into 32 portions (about 60 g each). Roll each dough into smooth rounds and leave it about 10 minutes.

7. Filling/Topping
- Sweet buns : The filling is so easy peasy lemon squeezy. Take small portion of butter, shape them into round, roll it in sugar and there you go, the filling is ready. Flatten dough. Put the filling in the middle and wrap it up. Seal it nicely. Place onto a baking tray, leave it to rise till they double in size. Brush the top with an egg wash.
- Red bean buns : Use red bean paste as filling. Use your creativity to shape the buns. You can always ask Mr. Google or Miss YouTube for help. Place onto a baking tray, leave it to rise till they double in size. Brush the top with an egg wash.
- Mexican coffee buns : Cream 120 g butter and 120 g sugar till light. Adds 3 eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Then fold in 120g flour and 1tbs instant coffee flavour till well combined. Put in a piping bag and pipe all over the surface of the buns.
- (If i'm not mistaken, this measurement is for 1 kg flour i.e 32 buns)
8. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 210c till golden brown for 12-15 minutes.

Hendaklah kamu menanam bersungguh-sungguh tujuh tahun berturut-turut
Aim untuk sentiasa improve diri, naik pangkat etc.
Pendapatan - Simpanan = Baru belanja.
Dare to be diffirent.
Last but not least, few tips from pakdi
- Record every single transaction every day for at least 3 months. Review your cash flow, and do something!!
- Berbelanja dengan duit tunai. Set perbelanjaan mingguan dan withdraw duit once a week. Hiduplah dengan budget yg kita dah set walau terpaksa merana dipenghujung minggu hehe.. Its not easy but lets try our best insyaallah =)
Even si hijau muncul, disimpan dan tak digunakan, its not an excuse to spend more than what you have set...)
- Kalau kte nak mula melabur, pastikan kita pakai duit lebih sahaja. Maksudnya kewangan dah stabil. Jangan melabur selagi benda yang asas tak lepas.

Sekian catatan ringkas sy di tambah komen farah yg dipetik dr fb tapi belum minta izin beliau huhu... sorry ye farah. Amin..

A letter
Be open to change. You’re not perfect. You don’t know everything. There’s always something new to learn. Something new to improve.Find the good in people. Everyone has flaws; your wife has flaws and your kids have flaws. You have flaws. But choose to focus on the good and always mention the good, and seek to improve the not-so-good.
| Can I have something like this for my wedding cake? Dear future husband, please take note haha!! |

Good bye 2013, welcome 2014..
Fuhh... Lama tak jengah blog ni. Hidup segan mati tak mahu.
Mencari waktu, beri ruang untuk diri, mencari rentak, mentajdid niat, menulis kerana Allah ... haha cliché habis... Tak mudah, tapi it has to start somewhere, sometime. What better time than now? May Allah ease everything insyaallah. Amin.. =D

The Designer is perfect.
There are many pieces that make up our lives: Moments that break us. Moments that raise and shape us. Decisions we make to hold on. Or let go. People who enter our lives and leave us changed forever. The ones we love, the ones that hurt us, or heal us, or leave us. Sometimes we don't understand these pieces—or even despair over them. It’s only when time goes by and we look back, that we suddenly can see our whole life like a perfectly designed puzzle.
Don’t be afraid of the puzzle piece you’re in now.
It will fit perfectly…just like the rest.
How could it not?
The Designer is perfect.

--Rainer Maria Rilke--
"Have patience with everything that remains unsolved in your heart. Try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books written in a foreign language. Do not now look for the answers. They cannot now be given to you because you could not live them.It is a question of experiencing everything. At present you need too live the question. Perhaps you will gradually, without even noticing it, find yourself experiencing the answer, some distant day."

Words
They are nothing but letters on a page.
But they have the power of swords to shatter.
Or, the cure, to heal.
